Even if life is going beautifully there is always a lesson, always a root growing, a seed sprouting. I’m more thankful than I’ve ever been and am very lucky in countless ways, but I still have challenges that stretch and that’s how muscles are built and strengthened. I love running for health and exercise but I also love it because it teaches me that with anything in life, it takes endurance, a resolve to keep pressing day in and day out, and it’s the moments where you realize that you’ve suddenly overcome the once-was obstacle that’s no longer, and that in the sweat and pressing through, you’ve gained more than what you thought possible when first starting out. Miracles abound, often in ways we never see coming, sometimes uninvited, but they always show up right on time and it’s a mystery of life that makes us hold onto hope. You can’t have the blooms without the mud, rain and pruning too. And all of it is good, all of it is beautiful.
