畳のお部屋についての質問を最近よく受けます。畳のスタンダードの大きさが何種類かあるのをご存知でしたか？畳のひきかたについても色々ルールがあり、炉をきったときには畳の枚数によっては夏と冬のレイアウトを変えなければいけないこともあります。

Tatami is a type of mat used as a flooring material in traditional Japanese-style rooms and there are several standard sizes of Tatami in Japan.
There are some rules how to lay mats and when you create a hearth in the room, you may have to change the layouts by season: Summer and Winter.
