Thank you SO very much to the @artslb and @gsuarezartslb for this incredible project. I painted a 130 ft mural which travels over six walls in lower Drake Park in Long Beach, CA. My concept was to celebrate, represent, and acknowledge this incredibly diverse city. There are large heads on the left side of the mural exhaling creating: land, waves, winds, and the environment for the whole piece. Traveling across the mural is district 1 superstar @kumirocks and then a collection of multicultural faces. There also two huge heart faces with eyes peering looking out over the city.... and as I posted earlier, if you’re wearing reflective sunglasses and stand right in front, those eyes will be reflected. ?
