I like the balance between modern and old. Case and point, our little city cottage. 118 years worth of living in its walls and lots of “stuff” had been added over the years - unnecessary stuff. So we’ve been busily pairing it back, pairing it down until the elegance of the everyday and the beauty of its unadorned shell shines

At times it’s an act of extreme discipline - with so much inspiration around, it can be hard to stick to the plan. But in the end it yields the results we seek. A balance of character, eras, materials and restrained adornment ..
