This spiral galaxy has a bright, active core, powered by a supermassive black hole. But how do we learn more about the voraciously feeding black hole at its center - and how it affects other galaxies? Our forthcoming James Webb Space Telescope's sharp vision will be able to see into the swirling material inside the galaxy and measure the motions of stars - one way to confirm the black hole's mass.
