Last night we wrapped the fourth episode of @supergirlcw that I’ll get credit for directing! So to thank the actual cast & crew responsible for making an ep that makes me look good, I ordered these wrap gift t-shirts, featuring #silentbob and #karazorel hanging in front of the ol’ Quick Stop (with art by Diamond @jeffquigley)! This is the least I can offer the true artisans behind ep 408 - folks like @etcarrasco, who co-wrote an excellent ep and helped me bring it to life! Or AD Bob Crippen, who’s more of a Director than an Assistant! Or Michael Storey, our master cinematographer whose lightning fast speed kept us moving! Or @armenvfx, who covered for me multiple times! Or the amazing office crew in pre- and the family-like atmosphere of the entire production crew! Or @chy_leigh - one of my favorite actresses in the world who elevates everything she’s in. Or @davidajala & @davidharewood - who turned in performances so compelling, they saved an entire scene I’d earmarked for deletion! Or @jesse_rath - who puts the silly smarts into Brainiac! Or @nicoleamaines, who showed us all what Nia can really do (and turned 21 on our episode)! Or @switwer1 - who has forgotten more about @スター・ウォーズ than I’ll ever know and Mauled Agent Liberty! But the big thanks and all my respect and affection goes out to the one, true Supergirl herself - @メリッサ・ベノイスト! She’s the soft nougat center of this Milky Way bar, who’s always smiling and forever kind to everybody she interacts with on set and off. As long as she’s wearing the cape, I’ll fly to Vancouver whenever asked! I’m staying in Canada for a Friday night BABBLE show in CALGARY with @ralphgarman, then I head to YEG for an @edmontonoilers game on Saturday night and a Q&A on Sunday (Tix at the link in my bio)! #KevinSmith #supergirl
