In most of the world’s oceans sharks have declined dramatically over the last century. Some regional studies have even reported declines in excess of 90% for some species. Fortunately we have also had some significant conservation wins for sharks during the last two decades. Yet we still have a long way to go to ensure that the 3rd photograph of my series ‘Disappearing Sharks’ does not become our future reality. Oceans without sharks would be like Krueger without leopards, Yellowstone without bears or the Sundarbans without tigers. #sharks #ocean #conservation
