Happy birthday to Newell Convers (N. C.) #Wyeth, born #onthisday in 1882. The first in the famous Wyeth family to achieve acclaim, N. C. is the patriarch to one of the greatest artistic legacies in American history. An illustrator and painter, N. C. was born in Massachusetts but fell in love with the mercurial landscapes of Pennsylvania, residing in Chadds Ford until his death in 1945.
