Photo by @joemcnallyphoto — A fascinating @ナショナルジオグラフィック assignment I had was to photograph the great museums of NY for the Traveler, but do it in panorama. I used a Fujica 6x17 camera, loaded with transparency film to sort out the job. It had its challenges to be sure, especially in some of the darker museums, but it was also wonderful to program your eyes to “see” in wide scope, and graphically attack the magnificent nature of these museums with a very formal, structured approach. This week we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the @グッゲンハイム美術館 opening its famous Frank Lloyd Wright designed doors to the public. It is a cultural, artistic and architectural beacon, up there on 5th Avenue. #nyc #museums #guggenheim #5thavenue #art #panorama #anniversary #traveler #travel
