Photo by @クリス・バーカード. There are few experiences that feel as otherworldly than photographing the Milky Way. Getting “the shot” becomes a simple byproduct of the realization of just how vast this universe truly is. With ever increasing light pollution from city lights, I encourage all of you to get out there, find dark skies wherever they may be, and take time to think about how special this little blue planet we call home is.
For this shot I waited for the water in the lake to become as still as possible in order to capture the reflection of both the milky way and Matterhorn. This is a 15 second exposure shot with a 20mm lens at f/2.0 and an ISO at 5000.
