“For me personally as someone who serves in the military, being awarded an #MBE for serving my country in sport, after receiving a medal for serving in Afghanistan…It makes me really proud to represent on both planes.” @BritishArmy's Captain Jennifer Kehoe shares what it felt like to receive her MBE from The Queen today.
Captain Kehoe, a Royal Engineer, received her award alongside fellow Paralympian Skier, Menna Fitzpatrick, who is visually impaired. “It’s the highest honour - that anyone could get,” said Menna at Windsor Castle today. "It was amazing for it to be presented to us by The Queen." The pair, who won four medals including a gold in the slalom at the 2018 Winter Paralympics, are Britain’s most successful Winter Paralympians.
