Twelve people were killed in the busy #Borderline Bar & Grill after a gunman opened fire on Wednesday evening, authorities said. Witnesses recalled a man dressed in black throwing smoke bombs and spraying the bar with bullets during a "college country night" event. The victims include a sheriff’s deputy who charged onto the scene, as well as a Navy veteran who survived last year’s massacre at a Las Vegas country music festival. Authorities said at least 23 others were injured in the attack. “Our hearts are with all those whose loved ones were stolen from them too soon," said Governor-elect @gavinnewsom, "by yet another senseless act of gun violence."
