Caution: Red crabs crossing! ?⚠️ @christmasisland’s most famous #wildlife phenomenon is in full swing, with up to 50 million #redcrabs making their way from the forest to the coast to breed as part of their annual migration. Captured here by @faulkner_photography, the spectacular red crab migration usually occurs between late October and November, but thousands of these brightly-coloured beauties can be seen on the #island at any time of year, especially in the forests. @indianoceanexperiences run a ‘red crab spawning tour’ during this time; a great way to learn more about this fascinating natural wonder from a knowledgeable guide.
