Lets talk hamstrings! Purpose of the three muscle on the back of your legs is knee flexion and hip extension or kicking the leg back like a sprinter.
One of my favorite lifts is the lying leg curl. Couple tips on this would be to make sure your hips are pressed into the pad. The second tip would be point the toe on the negative part of the lift. Do this to inhibit any gastrocnemius ability to aid in knee flexion. Give it a go next time!
