There is so much to be grateful for. Thanksgiving has always been one of my favourite times of year. The dinners when I was growing up. Different parts of the country meant different Aunts and Uncles, cousins. The years for me here in Los Angeles and my life with Barbara. We were married 2 days after Thanksgiving in 1990. We had a huge dinner for all the out of town guests who came to Hollywood for our wedding. We were living in The Hollywood Towers at Argyle and Franklin Ave. I was filming the most important film of my career. We had a one bedroom apartment and we somehow filled it with 30 plus friends and family. We served several Turkeys which were simultaneously cooked at neighbouring apartments. Our apartment was on the lobby floor and guests spilled out from our apartment. It was chaotic and fun. Barbara’s mother Jean and my mom Nadine were amazing with help. Reggie Andrews some how unclogged our overworked garbage disposal and sink. It was such a great day. We were married 2 days later at the Methodist Church at Franklin and Highland. Guest walked from there to the Roosevelt Hotel on Hollywood Blvd. and our reception was outside around the David Hockney pool! We had let slip to the staff that Arnold Schwarzenegger may stop by so we could secure the site, it was BS. I thought about all this Yesterday as I did what I normally do. I got on my @harleydavidson and I rode around Los Angles on the empty streets and freeways. It is the best day to ride. I rode trough Santa Clarita by Lake Hughes and Lake Elizabeth up to Lancaster and back to Gorman and the 5. It has not become a tradition but it is something I have done quite regularly for many years. Sometimes with friends sometimes solo. Yesterday I was alone. It was beautiful. The best way to clear my mind.
