“When I arrived in the camp I would sit outside my caravan and look up at the sky. It was so dark and for the first time I could see the stars. In Syria I lived in a city and couldn’t see anything because of the street and house lights. Now though, I feel peace when I look up at the sky – it’s so beautiful. I was curious to learn more – what was the milky way? – and that’s when my dream to become an astronomer started. In 10 years’ time, I see myself working in one of two places: at @NASA in America or a university in Britain studying astronomy. I’d love to make a new astrological discovery.
