Nthatuwa, 17, is in 11th grade. She was sexually harassed by someone she looked up to like a brother, and the elders in her community told her not to speak up about the incident. She is now a member of a UNICEF-supported student-led club that promotes mutual respect and dignity. The club helped increase her confidence, encouraged her to help others, as well as challenge the negative attitude and behaviour that boys demonstrate towards girls at her school.
