Jerome Waag has made his art in his kitchen, and in his studio.
When he saw the image on my #TodaysLoveLetterToYou exhibition poster he told me we have specific shared interests in art as practice for the life journey.
After he saw my show,
he gave me absolutely delicious and inspiring studio visit in return.

“I’m a cook, rather than a chef”
He made his edible art for 4 lucky girls from his tiny humble kitchen in Tokyo apt. It is my pleasure to get to know you finally Jerome ... Ari Gâteau !

#TodaysLoveLetterToYou 展のポスターを自分の店 @theblinddonkey.jp に 貼ってくれたジェロームの反応は、今回の東京展で最も嬉しい発見の一つだった。
同じく、自己探求の手段としてアートと関わってきたと言う彼は、わたしと絵の関係をとても理解してくれて興味を持ってくれた。
最終日、展覧会を見に来てくれた後、今度はお返しに彼のアートをシェアしてくれた。 彼のアパートのグリル一つのみの小さなキッチンから生まれた美味しいアートと、十代の時から自分と向き合う作業として続けているドローイングやコラージュ。
お互いの作品をきちんとシェアしあうことで「自分は料理人だ。シェフじゃない」というジェロームと、やっと深く友だちになれる気がする。ありGâteau！
