#TheConvert - Opening Night: I’ve always said this particular play for me is not only one that gives voice to the historical perspective rarely heard, the African girl who walked the earth during colonial times, but is also one that features a conversation from a seldom explored viewpoint - the colonized to the colony. That’s why it was really deep for me to sit in the @youngvictheatre last night in Central London and experience this play amidst a diverse British audience. Thank you to Kwame Kwei-Armah and all his staff at Young Vic for giving it such a phenomenal platform and to the astounding cast for pouring all they had into this piece. Ndinotenda!
