I created this particular image filled with beauty as part of one of my recent floral-themed workshops in NYC. We developed the concept to create a pink floral fantasy filled with texture and color, and this is what we came up with! One of the things that can be challenging in a studio environment is to create a scene with depth-- it is far easier to create something flat against a solid background but that’s not always as interesting. That’s why a very important part of constructing the shot was to create foreground, middle ground and background elements to allow me to create an image with dimension and a sense of place. I moved around the scene to find the perfect angle where the foreground elements framed the subject and helped lead the viewer’s eye straight toward her.
