Nagano Lantern Festival―a Prayer for Peace that Colors the Night

The Nagano Lantern Festival is celebrated in commemoration of the 1998 Winter Olympics with the hope of eternal peace.

This year as well, many lanterns of different shapes will be prepared in the name of peace.

16th Annual Nagano Lantern Festival, “Resonating Prayers of Peace”
Festival dates: Wednesday, February 6th to Monday the 11th
Hours of illumination: 18:00 to 21:00 (last day: until 20:00)
Location: Zenkoji Temple area, Nagano Station Zenkoji Exit, East Exit plaza, Zenkoji Omotesando road
