Day 3 of the @utlanow #LAUSD Strike. It’s still pouring rain, and we are still standing strong for the vital needs of our public school teachers as well as every child in LA who deserves a better learning environment. The future of our country depends on the quality of our schools! It is the only way true equality can exist. It is THE cornerstone of our democracy. Our children’s chances in life should not be determined by being lucky enough to win a Lottery. If you think this isn’t your fight and it doesn’t effect you because your kid’s future is secure, or because they are in a “good school” you are wrong. It will effect them, it’s the world THEY are going inherit and it will be colored by this brutal inexcusable lack of equality in ways you have never even considered.
