On the hunt, a #leopardSeal smoothly gliding through the icy waters of #Antarctica. This seals strategy is simple, ambush. Stealthily hiding on the fringe of an iceberg to prey on young penguins that waywardly cross through this area as they head out to sea to hunt krill. Spending time in the water with these animals is magical, something I would have been much more reluctant to do had I not been with friend @paulnicklen who has a clear understanding of their behavior. It’s a situation where patience, luck and staying calm are essential as you cross your frozen fingers and hope for an encounter like this.
