Do more of the things that bring you joy. ⁣ ⁣ I just realized today I think I’ve actually, fully, completely managed to slow down. I’ve had several moments over the past few days when I had to stop and go “hm - what should I do this afternoon?”? It might sound like nothing special but for someone who’s had every moment of every day planned out and completely filled with work/tasks/projects/to do lists that never end this is a huge accomplishment. Normally, even when I finish a task or complete a project I move straight onto the next thing. This has been a part of my being overwhelmed; feeling like there just aren’t enough hours in the day to get everything done. But now... Catching myself with that thought - “what should I do today?” means I’ve actually managed to create space not just in my day but in my MIND.⁣ ⁣ Now, the question is: am I less productive? I honestly don’t know. I’m getting all my work done. I’m just not panicking about it. Also; haven’t taken on massive new projects, I’m not in the middle of a teacher training, I’m not writing a book... Some of it is circumstantial but it’s taken a lot of work for me to work less. ⁣ ⁣ I’m happier. Less stressed. Moving my body every day. Feeling creative. Hoping to maintain this pace for as long as I can. ⁣ ⁣ Now, back to the couch. I’m reading two books. Thinking about starting a book club buuuut that would be another project! So... I just realized today I think I’ve actually, fully, completely managed to slow down. I’ve had several moments over the past few days when I had to stop and go “hm - what should I do this afternoon?”?
