A world with two internets? That may become a reality — and soon.
A top venture capitalist predicted that within the next five years, two separate internets — one led by the U.S. and one led by China — will emerge. The concept is called the “splinternet,” meaning the internet would be split by different regulations and run by separate services.
But it won’t just be China versus the U.S. Other countries are going to have to pick a side.
