The World at Night photography
In a long exposure image, bright winter stars move across the sky over the span of one hour, creating star trails, over a natural wonder of Qeshm Island in the Persian Gulf, known as the Valley of Stars. Note the subtle colors of trails, representing the temperature of stars with white blue the hottest and youngest and orange-red the coolest and oldest. Photographed in Jan 2012.
