Pushing against the snow, a #coyote moving through the meadows of @rockynps in search of food. These animals are key to a healthy ecosystem and a predator I used to see pretty commonly on the front range of northern #colorado. However in recent years there’s been an out-break of Mange, a disorder caused by tiny mites that can often prove fatal. I recently read that coyote numbers are recovering and I hope that’s the case, always a good sign to see these beautiful animals running around.
