#BehindTheShot with #CanonExplorerOfLight @onnevanderwal: "How often does one get the call to shoot Jimmy Buffett's new sailboat in the Bahamas! Not every day and I was on it! I had to do something cool and different for the designer of the boat and JB! I put the 5 DMKIV with a 14mm lens in my Aquatech housing and jumped in the water. I found a fairly shallow area of about 10 ft of crystal clear water where the boat wouldn’t run aground, could anchor and also sail by me a bunch of times. I wanted shallow water to got the white sandy bottom reflecting the bright Bahamian mid day sun back up on to the bottom of the boat giving me a nice evenly lit scene. I orchestrated everything, while swimming around treading water, from the water and shouting to the skipper and models where to be on every pass. I have done this shot before on other assignments and have figured it out but it’s still always a bit of a challenge to get all the parts working together like sun, clear water, breeze (not too much and not to little) perfect sandy bottom, crew and models that will cooperate and handle the boat safely (at times sailing within 3 feet of me at 8 knots), and keep my head above water! Well to cut a long story short it all came tougher perfectly and we nailed it! Jimmy was impressed and and said to me let’s do more! What else could I ask for?" Camera: Canon EOS 5D Mark IV
