A menu inspired by our favorite movie love stories, a Valentine’s Day tradition of ours at @189byDominiqueAnsel. Here’s this year’s 5-course menu:
* Housemade Vadouvan Chips & Cheesy Beer Dip (Bridget Jones’s Diary)
* Octopus Carpaccio, Sea Grapes, Lime Zest, Kumquats (The Little Mermaid)
* Artichoke & Sunchoke Moussaka (My Big Fat Greek Wedding)
* Flat Iron Steak, Enoki Mushroom Tops, Brandy Mustard Cream Sauce (inspired by that scene in Mostly Martha when the guest sent back a steak that wasn’t rare enough, so Martha brought him a raw steak instead ??)
* Chocolate Mousse “Burger” with macaron “buns” topped with toasted sesame seeds, pistachio ganache “lettuce,” strawberry gelée “tomato,” and a malted chocolate shake (Grease)
