Hey I need your help!!!!??? Do you know of any pet stores in your area that have adoption partners who condone or perform declawing?
As many of you know we are trying to inspire pet stores to only use adoption partners who truly care about the welfare of all cats and who do not condone and perform declawing.
So far we are happy to say that @petco and @chowhoundpet pet supplies have shown us that they care about the welfare of cats and will not tolerate this type of cat cruelty from any adoption partner in their stores.
Unfortunately @petsmart is ignoring us about this issue.?? @PetSuppliesPlus told us this in November, “We do not support cats being declawed unless it is deemed medically necessary for the health and well-being of the pet. We are currently in the process of updating our adoption partner guidelines for 2019 and expect that we will be working to phase-out any adoption groups that pro-actively declaw or dock/crop pets they offer for adoption." They told us it would be done in January but last we heard, they are still reviewing this with their legal department which is actually quite concerning to say the least. Four months is long enough to take care of this issue in our opinion.
Please help us inspire Petsmart and Pet Supplies Plus to do the right thing ASAP because every day they put this on the back burner, cats are being unnecessarily mutilated and harmed.
