It’s bold, vibrant—and the perfect flower to carry the name @awkwafina. This year, as part of The Orchid Show: Singapore, and for the first time in NYBG’s history, we’re naming a new orchid hybrid after a public figure and beloved native New Yorker. The deep, raspberry-red blooms of the all-new Vanda Awkwafina will be on display during this year’s show, and be kept and cared for in our Nolen Greenhouses as part of our world-class collection and continued efforts in orchid conservation and research.
