NEW TRADITION ALERT!
I went to watch all the nominated short films this year for the academy awards. Being there is about 5 chosen, the running time is just less than 2 hours. Instead of seeing any movie on date or with friends...GOOO see the nominated short films - google it- THEY ARE PLAYING IN MOST MAJOR CITIES PRE OSCARS! This is the first year I did this with the short films- but it’s now a tradition in my house!!! It’s wonderful journey diving into five, drastically different filmmakers visions- a unique experience that I thoroughly enjoyed. This year I did it bc I share a very good friend who knew the filmmakers of this project and had divulged the subject matter to me- thus- had been really interested to check it out. @jaimeraynewman4real truly inspires me (with of course her husband @guy_nattiv ) - making a project with your partner - believing in each other- keeping your nose to the grindstone and moving forward. Congrats to smart, hard working people who saw a story that needed to be told and took matters into their own hands to carve their destiny. Thanks @joelmichaely4real for enlightening me on this important story. Just a few reasons I’m glad the academy among others brought this film to the surface.
