Now that we are only weeks away from visiting Italy, I’m starting to save every restaurant recommendation on google maps so that we have endless options while we’re out and about. We only spent 72 hours in Italy last summer (and I was sick for the first day), but this time we’ll have two weeks. It feels like the largest luxury (and really, it is to be able to get to do this) so I don’t want to waste a moment. If you’ve been, can you leave your favorite restaurants in Rome, Florence, and Venice below? That way anyone visiting this post can get the info if they’re planning a trip too! I’ll be sure to share on the blog where we end up, but your recommendations mean everything to me.

If you visit Burano while you’re in Venice, which you should, because the little coloured houses and lace shops are ADORABLE, you MUST eat at a restaurant called Riva Rosa. I had my first spaghetti al vongole there years ago and been wanting to relive that moment ever since. Wonderful setting, great food and great service too back then (they made my hubby something vegetarian even though it was not on the menu). Highly recommended!

Volpetti in testaccio Rome is an amazing cheese and salami shop, antico Arco in travestere (everything in travestere is so cute), per me, la pergola...rooftop at hotel Minerva. In Florence Il Latini and Harry’s bar ✨

La Botticella in Roma, Trastevere. Dinner only. Miss Giulia cooks the best cacio e pepe and carbonara ever! In Florence try La menagere for the most beautiful pics and Il Santo bevitore to have a really nice dinner!

Despite how touristy it is we had some great food in Venice! Our favorites were: ai promessi sposi (for dinner & appertivo) & cantine Del vino gia schiavi (wine and yummy appertivo!)
