I have no doubt that this a good recipe, but it’s not carbonnade a la flamande/ stoofvlees. There are many different ways in making it, think ecery household has it’s own, like what kind of beer, how to sweeten it, bread and mustard, but it’s never ever with lardon.

Typical belgian food. In Flanders we call it stoverij/ stoofvlees and we eat it with fries and mayonaise. Delicious! !
