mchick16 Since the Airbnb customer service team fails to respond to hosts (been over 9 days since receiving a response from our case manager) and they close out conversations without anything being solved.. THIS IS A WARNING TO OTHER HOSTS: Airbnb somehow triggered our profile as American, even though we are Canadian citizens and have Canadian rental properties. They've illegally withheld over $8000 from our earnings and sent it to the IRS.. We recognize this was most likely a human error on their part that was unintentional; however, we feel it is their responsibility to correct this immediately. They say there is nothing they can do and will not be returning this money. We looked on the community forums and this is happening to other hosts. Airbnb has yet to help a single case.

dianitarl Buen día... Nosotros fuimos anfitriones por AIRBNB, y tuvimos la peor experiencia vivida. Un huésped tomó nuestro apartamento para trabajo sexual con menores de edad, en los días que estuvo tuvo que ir la policia por escándalos y hubo un capturado por casi un Homicidio contra una mujer que se encontraba en nuestro apartamento. Por esta razón la administración y los vecinos de nuestro edificio nos prohibieron el uso de nuestro apartamento para AIRBNB, perjudicándonos gravemente ya que estábamos dependiendo en gran parte de financieramente.
