What a truly incredible pleasure it was yesterday to spend time with my friend David Campbell, founder and champion of @allhandsandhearts . I was first introd to @allhandsandhearts and David when a devastating earthquake hit Nepal 🇳🇵 many years ago, which prompted me to join 19 other brave souls and hike up to the Mount Everest Basecamp over two weeks, to raise funds for the disaster relief work @allhandsandhearts was doing in Nepal. We raised over $75,000 and I made life long friends with everyone there but with no-one more than the organization it self, which stands by it’s principle to “arrive early, and stay late” in any disaster stricken country that needs help, where they are able to be of assistance. David Campbell has written a terrific book on All Hands, and his work in building this organization and the mentality and message behind it. They are incredible people doing incredible things all over the world, they are the leaders in response and effectiveness. They are a true bridge to empathy.
