Photo by @クリス・バーカード | Tidal bores are an unusual, unforgettable sight in Alaska. Cook Inlet is one of the only places in the U.S. where such a bore tide forms. Traveling at 24 miles per hour, it can take hours for a wave to travel from the mouth of Turnagain Arm all the way to the far end. You can either be on the longest wave of your life or running to your car to try and catch it down river because you fell. Either way your going to leave wanting more.
