Few voices carry the weight of David Attenborough's. Check out his latest series, Our Planet 😍. It's another reminder of the incredible gift it is to call this planet our home.

It's sometimes hard to know what we can do as individuals, and people often say (despite Australians being the some of the highest per capita emiters of greenhouse gases in the world) that we will have hardly any effect on curbing climate breakdown. It seems a cop out to me - we can punch above our weight and show real leadership. We can stand up for our future, our farmers, our reef and our oceans by saying NO to Adani and NO to drilling in the Bight. We can demand political leadership on climate change and we can demand that our politicians put more value on Nature and biodiversity with better policies to protect it.

As E. O. Wilson put it, "Perhaps the time has come to cease calling it the 'environmentalist' view, as though it were a lobbying effort outside the mainstream of human activity, and to start calling it the real-world view."
