Chag Sameach! Tonight marks the second night of the eight-day Jewish festival of Passover, which commemorates the story of the Israelite's departure from ancient Egypt. The highlight of Passover is two ritual-packed meals where a special Seder plate bears six ceremonial foods that retell the story of Passover. This example of a Seder plate displays motifs of the traditional items, which include shank bone (zeroa), egg (beitzah), vegetable (karpas), sweet paste (haroset), and two bitter herbs (maror and chazeret).⠀
