Initially it was exhausting because we didn’t have our routine down but now that we do it’s easy and seeing him happy makes it all worth it. I count our night as the start of the routine. Not sure why I do that but here’s our routine: Put him in our bed and make sure he’s laying on the opposite side that he was on before bed (with a fresh towel and potty pad) Wake up between 12-1pm and flip him over. Wake up again between 3:30-4am and flip him over and make sure he didn’t poop in his sleep. If he did we clean it up and it’s back to sleep. Get up at 6:15am and carry him out to potty then it’s breakfast, water and meds then back to the bedroom, he watches us get ready for work. Before leaving for work I carry him to get more water and take him to my husband in his office (he works from home) Between 10-11am Rocco will let the hubby know if he needs more water or a potty break which he doesn’t always need and he gets flipped to the opposite side. At noon he gets another potty break and chance for water and hangs in the kitchen with the hubby has lunch. Then it’s back to the home office and another flip. At around 3pm it’s another potty break and water and he’ll get flipped again. 5:15pm it’s dinner time and another potty break. Then he hangs in the living room until I get home from work which is usually between 6-6:30pm. At around 7:30pm he gets his nighttime meds and I do a full body scratch since he can’t scratch on his own. I follow it with a mini massage and range of motion exercises on his hind legs and front legs. Then he naps until his last potty of the night and we go to bed and start all over again 😊 Note: Niko and Weldon are with us every step of the way ❤️ While this routine sounds time consuming it really isn’t. Each step takes 10 mins or less. The most important thing for us is to make sure we flip him at least every 4 hours and make sure he’s hydrated and has plenty of opportunities for a potty break. He also gets plenty of cuddles too. 📷 @zilkerbark」4月21日 6時07分 - roccothepug

Caring for Rocco has been very rewarding. Initially it was exhausting because we didn’t have our routine down but now that we do it’s easy and seeing him happy makes it all worth it.

I count our night as the start of the routine. Not sure why I do that but here’s our routine:
Put him in our bed and make sure he’s laying on the opposite side that he was on before bed (with a fresh towel and potty pad)
Wake up between 12-1pm and flip him over.
Before leaving for work I carry him to get more water and take him to my husband in his office (he works from home)
Between 10-11am Rocco will let the hubby know if he needs more water or a potty break which he doesn’t always need and he gets flipped to the opposite side.
