The Polynesian Voyaging Society’s film about Hōkūleʻa’. ・ When I was walking Rudy in the park this morning, a young gentleman was practicing some old song ... it sounded like my grand mother’s chant as she was a Kumu/ teacher of #Noh chant #謡曲 But it was #Oli #HawaiianChant ! Unexpected great surprise in New York City ！・ As I walked by I looked at his face and realized he was my dear little brother from #BigIsland who I haven’t spoken for more than 10 years !! I didn’t know he was still living here. He said he was practicing before his performance starting in 2 hours. His chant was blessing for the film. ・ Hōkūleʻa’ this world voyage is the ancient wisdom for the earth’s future, and has been the inspiration of my life voyage for many years... ・ What a powerful way to reconnect with my #kuleana ... in PERFECT TIMING. I surrendered. I cried, thanked and got empowered.
