Setting sail into the great beyond.
#ad The first night on my @Uncruise Central American adventure began with this spectacular show right here. And then we sailed out of wifi and mobile service range. It was glorious.
Small boats on big waters provide a lot of things, but connection to the outside world isn't one of them. So yeah, I've been off the radar for a bit.
But's it's exactly what I needed, what we all need, really.
I read books, met monkeys, talked to actual human beings without looking at a blue screen, and was even forced to try to remember details without googling stuff. It felt like a giant personal humanity reset.
Then you have moments like this. The world is beautiful and even though continuous negative bombardment tells us otherwise, so are most people. You just have to get out of the online world and into the real one.
Thanks to #UnCruise for providing the backdrop to two weeks of reconnection to reality and the present. Funny how it has such a positive effect on the sense.
I do enjoy connecting here online, but taking time out for the experiences right in front of me is a priority. What do you think? Do you find time to disconnect?
