Professor Kay led the team of surgeons who performed the UK's first double hand transplant in 2016. Also today, Dame Glenda Bailey received a Damehood for services to the @welcometogreat campaign and UK prosperity, charity, fashion and journalism and Sir Alexander Halliday was knighted for services to science and innovation. London-based artist Yinka Shonibare collected his CBE and Rabbi Warren Elf was awarded an MBE for services to the community in Manchester.
