This image is from a few years ago but I often find myself daydreaming about this location and this trip. For me, this is the throne room of the mountain gods as the late Galen Rowell used to say. There are few places on Earth as gorgeous as this (at least for a mountaineer). This is the hard side of Cerro Torre to get to and involves huge packs, some relatively steep climbing up a 3,000-foot (900 m) waterfall and lots of glacier travel.
