This photograph of my mother is always present. Today I took it out of its frame never noticing there were two notes on the back, one written by someone who might have been her niece or nephew because it reads “Meiner lieber Tante…” or My dear Aunt…”. The rest I cannot read clear enough their handwriting. Her note is there too, where she writes this photograph was taken when she was likely 16 years old. Today is also my son’s birthday - he became 16 this morning. Amazing how moments align, in purpose and deeper meaning. Happy Mother’s Day, Mother, and to my son, @konstantinstanmeyer, Happiest of birthday’s, every day. Every moment.
