After more than four months at sea, a 72-year-old French man completed his 2,930-mile trip across the Atlantic Ocean in a giant orange barrel he built himself. Jean-Jacques Savin set off from the Canary Islands in December and arrived in the Caribbean in May. He traveled about two miles an hour with no engine by relying entirely on the ocean current to guide his journey. "Everything has an end ... finally, here I am at the end of this adventure," he wrote on Facebook, after stepping foot on land for the first time this year.
