You ever wonder what it was like skating in the late 80s/early90s at EMB? @chicobrenes takes us back with footage from his sponsor video. Back then you’d have to send your footage on VHS tapes to companies you thought might wanna sponsor you. First you had to track down a decent enough camera, then you had to figure out how to edit it (mostly vcr to vcr) then you had to make copies and pay a fortune in shipping to ad many companies as you had the address to. For young kids it was a pain in the ass. It took a lot of tenacity to make things happen for yourself back then. Today some skaters can film a trick on their phone and post it on Instagram and their whole life changes. What a wild world we live.
