Canada's government is expected to approve a bill banning the captivity of whales, dolphins and porpoises 🐬🐳🐋 and punish violators with fines of up to $150,000. Supporters of the measure, known colloquially as the "Free Willy" bill after the 1993 movie, celebrated its passage in the House of Commons on Monday, using the hashtag #emptythetanks on social media.
