This futuristic concept plane, the “Flying-V,” which puts passengers in its wings, aims to change the way we fly. The plan is designed to be 20% more fuel-efficient than the popular Airbus A350, while still carrying more than 300 passengers. "Aviation is contributing about 2.5% of global CO2 emissions, and the industry is still growing, so we really need to look at more sustainable airplanes," said project leader Roelof Vos, a researcher at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands.
