Takoyaki is a Japanese snack made of a wheat flour-based batter. The balls of batter are filled with diced octopus, tempura scraps, pickled ginger, and onions and are cooked in a special pan. Once they’re finished cooking, a special sauce (similar to Worcestershire sauce) is drizzled over the top and dried seaweed/bonito flakes are the finishing touch.
